I’m So Crushin’ On You!

In light of my recent disclosure of my crush on a pedophile…I thought I would make a comprehensive list of all my crushes; both real and celebrity…because I know you’re dying to know if you’re on the list!

Here’s how I will organize it:

Age Person *(denoting celebrity status) Brief Description

3-4 Thomas Some Swedish kid (same age) who used to try and kiss me

4-5 Mark A kid in my pre-school with a head shaped like a strawberry

5-6 Jonathan Had a bad dream about him…plus he wet his pants at school

5-8 Josh McElroy So in love…first huge crush

9-11 Ronnie Galang First international crush…Ronnie was Fillipino

9-10 Michael Jackson* Crush produced first and only fan letter

9-current Gene Kelly* Handsome AND can sing and dance and be manly!

10-13 C. Thomas Howell* Ponyboy from “The Outsiders”

11-13 Wes White So in love…was like 8 inches shorter than me

11-13 Dave Baumstark Neighbor boy crush…first kiss; was gross

13-14 Doug Doyle Long time crush, first real boyfriend, I went to all his games

14-15 Jacob Osted Had lived in England ‘nough said…so cute

15-17 Stuart Truscott Hugest crush ever! Dated for over a year- soccer legs

18-19 Various Nondescript Guys of the jerk variety freshman year at college

19-20 Dana B. Thomas Great kisser but was the devil

20-21 Jason B. Merrill Totally got my heart smashed out

23 Jason B. Merrill Totally got my heart smashed out again after he kissed me

24 Dan Weber First adult boyfriend…should have let go like 3 months into it
25 Todd M. Rhodes SO cute…funny, can cook, had his own car

25-30 Don’t get big crushes anymore…I like Ewan McGregor (sings, dances, is manly), nerdy types, bookish fellows, brains are more sexy than biceps, Jude Law, I’m sure I’ll think of more because I’m so bad at making impromptu lists.

Who are some of YOUR crushes? Do tell…

Mr. Soccer Legs shaved his legs. (I just thought that should be included for some reason.)

Your mind IS a steel trap! I have very vague memories of boys up until college...ok, high school. I still think Hutch was hot (7th grade) and so do you. He played soccer, too. :)

I have this strange intense crush on. . . oh I'm embarrassed now. . .
Peter Jennings. He is so distinguished!

Um definitely MONDO crushing on my cousin's cousin...me and every other XX chromosomer that crosses his path. I have a weird thing too that I crush on whoever's dvd I'm watching. IE Michael Kitchen in FOyle's war and Jean-Louis Trintignant in a Man and A Woman. My whole blog is basically a celebrity crush honor roll. In high school I made a folder with pictures from like people and us and stuff of like every hot celebrity dude I can imagine. And yes I still have it and yes those guys are so not hot anymore.

I read your post and then took a shower. while i was scrubbing my little head, i was thinking of various crushes in my life, and I must say, the names just kept coming! I must be some kind of superfreak, cause I've got hundreds of crushes. and that's not including the hollywood boys. to include them, it would inevitably double the crush list. What am I to do, my cute friend who has one crush every couple years? Hi. my name is Brittany and I'm a crushoholic...

by the way--tom brocaw suits my fancy much more than peter jennings.

i hate to crash the female hormone crush party, but i just wanted to say that 1)female soccer legs and male soccer legs are so very different, its a whole 'nother ball game, 2)peter jennings and tom brocaw have nothin on that whats-her-bucket choi on CNN... the first half asian that somhow comes across very blonde to me... i hope the blondes in the house will forgive me. ceeb, i dont know more than half the people on this list. i feel like i am getting to know who you are for the first time! *sniff, sniff*. hi, my name is Espencerrr...

Um...does anybody else think Grover from Sesame Street is kinda cute? And now he does all the international travel segments which is really attractive to me. I hate to be so ordinary but I will forever be beholden to Hans Solo and Indiana Jones...so sexy.

What a coincidence! I was just thinking about Ewan M. today. It's the voice. Anything he says makes me feel like he's talking right to me...and I am Satine...

Remember Jean Marc Barr from "The Big Blue"? Who could resist that?He was in something more recently and it was a real let down...I echo the Ewan sentiments. My first crush was second grade--Brent Hartman--and yes, the feelings were mutual (he did that note with the check yes or no box, etc) Funny, looking back i realize he was Indian--how versatile for me!
Amy...we need to re-evaluate your choice, but i suppose if i HAD to pick a muppet it would indeed be grover because telly whines, as does big bird and oscar..and elmo likes baby talk, which can really be irritating...

I've had a couple of celebrity crushes that didn't endure, but one has been constant from the 1st time I ever saw him and it's one I'd wager we could all agree on--the one, the only, Gregory Peck. Between 'To Kill a Mockingbird' and 'Roman Holiday,' he's got it all. He looks a little like your last and best crush (aka Todd.)

Um, I sort of have a crush on Gene Kelly, too. I guess I'm gay now, or something.

I kept re-reading and re-reading and nope... not there. Dood!

Well ladies ---
Soccer legs still rock. But I have to say that Eric Truscott has better soccer legs than Stuart ever did. But I am partial.

Hi Carrie Oscarson, it's Ronnie Galang, your crush from ages 9-11. Just had to blow your mind. This is the crazy stuff you find out when you get a little self-possessed and google yourself at the end of a work day. You know, I never knew about your crush on me, but I guess that's not odd with crushes. I'm flattered, even after all these years ;) And, I suppose I was 'international' being the only person with any skin pigment of any kind until they started the busing program. Man, I think I had a crush on...jeez I have to think about this...Tracey Crawley?! Or was it Jill Bussalachi, or maybe Andrea Martin, or maybe Julie Cervenka. Man, I liked girls early. Anyway, I'm living in Denver now and am loving the mountain lifestyle. I don't keep in touch with anyone from elementary school (man, who does), but I ended up being really good friends with Bill Harlan and Dana Jolly, the Claymont 'Shorthorns' archetypes and annual recipients of the perfect attendance awards. I lost touch with Wes White, your other preteen crush, after 6th grade when he transferred, but saw him at some Lollapalooza concert in high school, dreadlocked and completely tweaked. He didn't know who the fuck I was. Anyway, I ramble. Hope life's good in Provo. Thanks for bringing back some memories!

RONNIE! You rock for googling yourself and for commenting on my blog. Yes, I had a crush on you and I wasn't the only one. Elizabeth Utterback and Missy Magee had crushes on you, too! I'm SO not suprised you had crushes on those girls. I think I worshipped the ground Jill walked on in elementary school. I remember two things about you: 1) Mrs. Schneider had you sit next to me and teach me long division (the first in many unsuccessful math tutorings in my lifetime) and 2) on your note book you had the names of some bands like "Air Supply" with an air tank and a hose and "Men at Work" with little men digging a hole. I thought that was so clever...Dever is a nice city. We love the mountains here in Utah...they are literally the first thing I see every day!

Great hearing from you! I was returning to your site to leave my email address (myfirstname.lastname(at)gmail.com) since I didn't give that option last night. Nice to have a message back in the morning. Funny shtuff. I remember drawing all those little literal pictures ('Whip It' was a fun song to diagram). And, I'm glad I could continue the Asian stereotype that we're all good at math (somewhere along the road I completely lost all my skills). Missy and I ended up being pretty good friends in high school. She, Matt Lewis and I used to skip class and head over to Steve Davis' house to swim in his pool. Didn't you live really close to Claymont? I have a vague memory of hanging out?/passing by your house one time. Anyway, it's quite clear that a Claymont reunion is in order, although the logistics may make that impossible ;) Great blog site btw - I'll check in later!

Are you talking about Stuart Truscott that attended Lafayette College?

Carrie Ann said...

Yes, Anonymous. We dated in high school. We still keep in touch. Do you know Stuart?

Anonymous said...

I knew him well in college and have lost touch (I transferred out after my sophomore year) but would love to drop him a note! We never dated, just very close friends - I miss that guy so much! Could you email me at mossbrook@hotmail.com and I can give you my info to pass along to him? Oh, and my name is Jackie Rotelli-Wheelin Thanks!
