Here's the time I made myself a dress and made the neck hole too small.
I was getting ready for church and had finished this dress and was so excited to wear it that I FORCED it over my large Swedish noggin. I had to wear that dress all day long because I couldn't face the reality of actually taking it off. I knew it would require a seam ripper. Here goes...
"Help me, Todd!"
I got the dress off.

he hee, but it's so SO cute! Maybe I'll buy it off of you, my family has small head genes.
Do you have any idea how adorable and amazing your talents are? Can I order that dress?...preferably with a bigger head hole, I have one of those Swedish heads too.
Sooo, awesome. Now I am coveting.
And as much as we all love Little Edie, I am glad to not be looking at her any more.
It's gorgeous! It's worth looking into some head-shrinking cream.
Large Swedish noggin. You make me giggle. So good to see your darling face!! I thought you had forsaken us all and left the blogworld forever! So what a sweet surprise! We need you here. You make us happy.
(YOu reminded me of the time in Target post-partum when I was determined to get a skirt on over my fat hips.. IN the aisle.. then couldn't get it back down.. opted for over the head.. where it got stuck.. lifting my shirt, and nursing bra.. with it.. as nursing pads fell to the floor.. and my big raw nurser boobs were exposed. I know because I felt air on them.)
Okay, forget the adorable dress for a moment--I'm drooling over your CRAFT ROOM!!! Do you KNOW what I would give for that??? Lucky, lucky, big-noggined you.
You are sooo talented!! I have trouble sewing a button back on when it falls off! I've missed reading your blog!
By the way...I love the dress...small head hole and all!
That was so funny! I can't tell you how many times I've been in the same awkward place with neck holes and my big Swedish head. Although usually I'm in a dressing room at a store with no immediate help nearby...matter of fact, if I recall correctly, you have pulled a couple of those items off my head.
lol! it's a really cute dress. i would have expected it to have a zipper...funny that you got it on and couldn't get it off. :)
That happens to me all the time in dressing rooms and I'm not even Swedish...just adopted. Really cute dress...can you do a zipper?
Did you make that dress out of your sheets?
Usually my clothes get stuck on my fat arms and then I panic and it's really scary.
oh how you make me laugh! but more than that i am SO impressed with your amazing talent! super-cute dress...i'm sure you can alter it somehow!
I started getting stressed as I scrolled down. I hate tight stuff that won't come off. I love the dress. So what are you going to be for halloween? I just read Kacy's post and was remembering the good old days of our fabulous halloween parties. We had some great ones.
I love the dress, but I love YOU even more!
If I pay you, will you make me a cute dress that I'll be excited to wear on Sunday? Do you charge extra for neck holes that are big enough for the wearer's head?
:)
love it!! I should hire you to make me a dress! Love it! The gifts, the gifts you have.
I've been waiting for this story! Love the dress! You are so entertaining. Wish I was your neighbor. Move to Farmington.
Where did you unearth that fabric? Beautiful. It has that cheerful touch that is so you. Heads don't shrink, do they? You can shrink an arse, a waist, a tummy, but not a head. Lovely, anyway.
I adore that you have posted again. I am so entertained. I could fathom paying a fee so that you would post every day. You make me laugh. Keep posting--for me and my hum drum life.
Love the dress. Poor neck hole. Poor big head. Poor vulnerable you with your head stuck. James makes me pay when I need his help--I get grabbed or tickled. Not cool.
i'm only married to a swede, which makes me a wanna-be but also maybe my head would fit....i think you know where i'm going with this...
So funny! and beautiful.
